About Brian
Brian Batchelder is a career coach who specializes in teaching his clients proactive networking strategies and tactics. He is NOT a headhunter.
Brian is a unique career coach because he has a decade of experiences on all three sides of the "job search pyramid": job seeker, career coach and corporate recruiter.
After majoring in broadcast journalism at Syracuse University, he decided to pursue his passion of working for a professional sports team. After several months of networking, he landed an entry-level position with the New England Patriots PR Department.
He leveraged his experience with the Patriots into a role with a global PR firm where he worked on several global accounts and managed the office's internship program.
In 2003, Brian moved from Boston to Washington D.C. to pursue another passion: career advising. After a thorough search, he joined the Career Center at American University where he served in a hybrid role of employer relations director and career advisor. His students went on to secure positions at Wall Street banks, FORTUNE 500 companies, record labels, popular consumer brands, sports teams, Big 4 Accounting firms, Advertising and PR companies.
He currently works as an in-house executive recruiter for a global PR firm. In this role, he works closely with senior management in multiple domestic and international offices to define hiring needs, identify & interview candidates, manage the recruiting process and make recommendations for hire.
He has held career workshops at several colleges including James Madison University, George Washington University and Georgetown University.
Brian can teach you the networking principles and strategies that will give you power and control over the job search and ensure you never settle for a mediocre job again!
